Nationale Marketing Strijd

The ‘Nationale Marketing Strijd’ (NMS) is the biggest recruitment event in the Netherlands for academic students in their last phase of their study with an affinity for marketing. This event is emerged by cooperation between the marketing associations from Amsterdam, Groningen, Rotterdam, Maastricht and Tilburg. Every year, the NMS takes place in a different city. Last year’s edition took place in Tilburg. This year the event will take place in Utrecht on the 8th and 9th of February 2017. 

The Nationale Marketing Strijd is unique, because of its main focus on the interaction between students and companies. After a CV-selection, companies will get the chance to see 100 participating students working in teams with students from different cities on ‘real-life’ cases. The participating students will first participate in an Inhouseday of one of the partners of the NMS. These Inhousedays serve as preliminary rounds, where students will compete against each other to become the winner of the NMS. This competition will continue during the two final days in the particular city. During different rounds, the team will work on challenging marketing cases and they will present these to a professional jury. At the end of the final days, one of the teams will go home with the titel: ‘Biggest Marketing Talent’ and with a prize of € 2.000,-.

The competition will be the core business of this event, but of course there is also room for a lot of fun, recruitment lunches and dinners and a party!
